About the Position
Job Title: SEO Manager
We’re looking for an experienced SEO Manager to lead two projects in particular - PureVolt Solar (solar panel installations) and Engineers with Drones (drone inspections). Prior experience in these industries is not required—our marketing and sales teams are knowledgeable, collaborative, and eager to share their insights.
The main areas you'll be in charge of are SEO and CRO for these projects, and there's a small PPC aspect too. While you will be directly responsible for the online growth and maintenance of these projects, you will also work in collaboration with our web dev team and report directly to our head of SEO.
Our head of SEO is always there if you need help, so there'll be someone you can bounce ideas and strategies off. That said, we are looking for someone who is ready to take over projects from day 1, bringing new skills and insights to our company to expand our collective knowledge, particularly in SEO, CRO and website analytics.
What we're looking for
Proven SEO Expertise: A deep understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and technical SEO.
Good knowledge of CRO: How you convert a website browser into a customer.
Website Analytics: How to track the effectiveness of the strategies you roll out, and overall digital marketing performance.
Leadership Skills: The ability to lead projects, mentor and get the most from our web dev / coding team.
Hands-On Approach: A willingness to roll your sleeves up to implement SEO strategies directly. You'll be writing code and editing the websites yourself (along with your colleagues, too).
Innovative Mindset: A critical thinker who seeks out evidence and logic in decision-making, and can identify new opportunities and improvements.
Skills & Experience Required
5+ Years of SEO Experience: Must also include leading at least one SEO project in a competitive field yourself.
Technical Skills: Hands-on coding and troubleshooting experience. You don't need to be an expert in all the languages we use, we can give training and there's always people to ask. But, if coding scares you, this is not the position for you.
Analytical Abilities: Confident with website analysis tools used for SEO, CRO and alike, for example using Google Analytics or similar tools.
Key Responsibilities
SEO: Create and take full responsibility for the SEO strategy of projects, making data-driven decisions to achieve top rankings in competitive markets.
Collaboration & Training: Advise and collaborate with internal teams, sharing SEO best practices and conducting website audits for improvements.
Keyword Research & Analytics: Conduct thorough keyword research and engagement tracking to refine content strategy and user experience.
Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on industry trends, search engine algorithm changes, and SEO advancements to keep our strategy at the forefront.
CRO: Design and implement CRO strategies to increase online engagement and conversion.
PPC: A small aspect only. No experience is required here, as long as you have an inquisitive mindset and drive to learn.
Hands-On Website Optimization: Use coding skills to address technical SEO challenges, collaborating with our web development team as needed.
